Object: My childhood teddy bear, Horris.
Location: The living room of my home in San Francisco
I've had my bear for as long as I can remember. He's always been there for me. When I was growing up, my dad would tell me bedtime stories about "Horris the ghost of a dancing bear." Horris has a music box and can play a little song and my dad would make him dance as I fell asleep. Horris was my comfort as a child.
For my whole life, I've felt close to my bear. He's been with me through my childhood, my first breakup, my move to college, and still sits on my bed in my apartment. He's going to go with me everywhere forever! He's my comfort and he feels like home.
I will always carry Horris, my ghost of a dancing bear close by my side, wherever life may take me next.
